Description
The WLA522 is an 802.11n, dual-radio, 2×2 MIMO, indoor access point designed for high-density enterprise installations requiring maximum capacity. It provides an easy, budget-conscious upgrade to any enterprise wireless installation with legacy investments.
Features:
– Support for all Smart Mobile software enhancements, including optimised traffic flow, reduced latency, and enhanced scalability.
– Ability to serve as high-speed mesh access point, mesh portal, or wireless distribution system (WDS) bridge to extend WLAN coverage.
– Dual radios (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), each supporting two transmit chains and two receive chains
– Four built-in antennas for omnidirectional coverage
– One 10/100/1000 Ethernet port with auto-negotiation mode, compatible with both 802.3af and 802.3at PoE infrastructure
– Backwards compatibility with legacy 802.11a/b/g clients
– Support for all relevant encryption methods
– Seamless failover support
– Support for location-based services
– Inconspicuous design and integrated lock protect data, encryption keys, and security credentials
– Hardware ready for real-time WLAN spectrum management functions and RF interference detection
The WLA522 can play a key role in rogue and intrusion detection, as well as denial-of-service (DoS) attack detection. It features ActiveScan which allows it to scan all 802.11 channels while providing wireless connectivity to mobile clients. In addition, SentryScan allows the WLA522 to act as a dedicated sentry and provide non-stop scanning.
