HP StoreOnce Recovery Manager Central (RMC) Software combines the simplicity of snapshots with the reliability and cost effective retention of backups. Native integration of HP 3PAR StoreServ and HP StoreOnce in a seamless, converged data protection solution removes the dependency on traditional backup software. HP StoreOnce RMC for VMware enables customers to protect VMware Virtual Machine Disks and data stores using consistent snapshots for rapid online recovery. The Express Protect feature offers a second-tier of data protection by facilitating backup of snapshots from 3PAR StoreServ to StoreOnce. Snapshots backed up to StoreOnce are self-contained volumes, deduplicated to save space, and can be used to recover back to the original or a different 3PAR StoreServ array, even if the original base volume is lost. Administrators can access all this functionality from within the VMware vCenter management console.
